OBOS OpenNet Provides Internet from June 2024
BSN has signed an agreement with OBOS OpenNet for internet service starting summer 2024. The service will upgrade from 100/100 Mbit/s to a 750/750 Mbit/s internet line for each apartment. The switch from the old to the new provider will be done floor by floor, starting in mid-May and expected to be completed by around June 1st. You will receive a notification specific to your apartment before the switch. A technician from Nimbus Fiber will need a quick visit to each apartment to ensure everything is in order.
OBOS OpenNet offers direct customer service for BSN residents, available 7 days a week. If you purchase an eero 6 Wifi6 router from OpenNet, customer service can troubleshoot your router directly. If you already have a router you are satisfied with, you can continue using it, but customer service will not be able to troubleshoot it remotely. BSN has purchased a stock of these routers at a heavily discounted price and sells them to BSN residents at the same price, NOK 490.

If you want one, you can pick it up at the reception and pay through your rent invoice. The router will be yours to keep and you can take it with you when you move from BSN; it works with all network providers.
